MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang criticized Vice President Sara Duterte for joking about giving "free advice" to the Marcos administration on how to solve the country’s flood problem.

Palace rejects Sara's offer of 'free advice' on flood solutions, says to give it to 'Mayor Baste' instead
In a text message, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the vice president should give her advice to her brother, acting Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte, if she has the solutions as a result of her frequent trips abroad.
"The vice president doesn't want to give free advice for the country?! If she has learned a solution to the country's flooding problem through her various travels, she should give her free advice to acting Mayor Baste of Davao City," Castro said in Filipino.
"Let's wait and see whether it's effective and if their city will no longer experience flooding," she added.
